Isfahan Jame Mosque (Sofe Darvish)

Sofeh Darvish:

Atigh Grand mosque contains architectural masterpiece of various Iranian history.  The northern porch of the mosque, called “Sofeh Darvish” dates back to 1200 and its plastered inscription belongs to Shah  Soleiman Safavi.It may have been the entrance to the mosque in the past. It has a cradle like ceiling which is different from the three other porches. Darvish Porch has a distinctive height with great brick decorations of Chalipa design and plasters and arches.  On each side and north of this porch, fantastic brick designs of towers specifically the east towers are dazzling.
